A fairly small place showing a collection of alpine and coastal plants from one of the earliest settlers on the island who wanted to introduce a diversity of flora into the island (this info can be found at the Rakiura museum). An easy stroll around, the main highlight for me was the deck with the great view. The other walks on Stewart island and Ulva Island were better experiences for me.

A lovely and well kept park. Nice walk although you are on grass most of the way so can be muddy/slippery at points. We saw lots of native birds and plants. It much for our kids to do other than run around wildly, but we were the only ones there so all ok.

If you are biking around it may be worth stopping here. It is a little underwhelming - signs with some trees. There is a toilet and views of the coast.
