        We really enjoyed looking at the beautiful Llamas and Janette was a lovely host with much knowledge. I would say to email before hand to make sure you get to see the Llamas and gallery, because this is a working farm not just a tourist attraction.

        Janette was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the care and conservation not only of her animals but the surrounding ecosystem of the Catlins region and her llamas, Gottland sheep and the Angus calves were beautiful and placid animals that are clearly very well cared for. I highly recommend Thickthorne Llamas and advise emailing ahead to confirm the best time to visit as this is a working farm as well as an attraction. The Gallery had many beautiful items for purchase as well and I hope to return in the future.
