I had the best experience with Nick today!! He was so thorough and helpful and could pick up instantly what I needed to work on! He helped me catch some awesome waves, I had the time of my life !!! We also got to surf with dolphins and one (friendly) sea lion ! He let us keep the wetsuits on for a bit longer after the lesson so we could go swim with the dolphins afterwards! Amazing experience so much fun highly recommend especially if youre a bit nervous surfing because Nick gets right in there with you and helps you every step of the way!!

Beautiful spot for surfing, swimming and just enjoying the view. If you are lucky the dolphins will be in the bay and may play with you on a paddleboard or when swimming! For surf Nick is a good guy and charges $50-69 for paddleboard or surf rental for a few hours, or the upper end for a lesson, which is a good deal in my opinion. We had our second ever surf lesson in Curio Bay and couldnt have asked for a better session. Nick was such a brilliant teacher and obviously was passionate about surfing himself. Even though the waves were large that day we felt safe, and the sandy floor really helps! The water was cold but the wetsuits completely prevented us from feeling the cold. We also saw some dolphins are were joined by a very excited sea lion!
