Fly Fiordland

Booked this to take us to Martins Bay so we could start the Hollyford track. Views of the Milford sound were amazing and our pilot Shaun gave us great recommendations about the area and what to expect on the track which was super helpful. 10/10 the three of us would do this again!! Such a cool experience.

My wife and I flew the Milford Sound loop with Shaun. The weather was forecast to be low clouds, so I exchanged a few emails with Daniela and Shaun the day before, and the morning of, the flight to discuss the best time to fly. We flew in a 4 seater Cessna 172 (which actually only carries 3 adults), which we've flown in before and therefore weren't bothered by the few instances of light turbulence. Shaun provided lots of interesting information about the geography, landmarks and wildlife during the flight. My wife sat in the back and could slide from side to side to get some great photos. If you are nervous about flying in a small plane, especially if your concern is turbulence, consider the other companies using bigger planes that fly from Queenstown. They are less bouncy. Otherwise, I thoroughly recommend the more personal experience and great all-round views you get by flying with Fly Fiordland.

Flew in to Martins bay with shaun for the roar! Great flight, flew us over a mob of deer, great yarns about living off paua. Highly recommend will fly again soon
