Fantastic kayak with our guide Austin today. The views were spectacular and it was well worth the money, especially as you are supplied with all the kit to make it comfortable (thermals, a jacket etc). Austin explained all sorts of things in an engaging and interesting way, telling us about New Zealand wildlife, geology and a whole load of random other things - his passion and enthusiasm were infectious. I was also reassured that every effort is made to keep it safe for us kayaking novices, with a good safety briefing, while also still going out and exploring the fjord. Apparently we went about 10km in a loop around the fjord - on the trip that was scheduled 9am-2pm we had about 3 hours on the water, which was the perfect amount of time. Will definitely do sea kayaking again next time I get chance.

Stunning experience. We were a tad nervous about the rain, however the sounds cleared for a beautiful, still morning. Classic laid-back kiwi guides took us along the shores where we saw seals, rainbows, wild berries, echoing mountain coves and waterfalls. Our guides told us the Mori history of Piopiotahi, which made the experience ever more important and spiritual. Would highly recommend, even in the rain!
