        This is is good sized parking lot. The ramp that leads into the lake is good for putting small boats like kayaks beside the barge. Along the large cliffs that lead into the lake the water is crystal clear and about 17 meter deep. It is an I interesting place for free diving.

        Isolated spot, good for picnic but no facilities. Good to get away from it all.

        Currently walking part of Lake2Lake track. Not doing the whole 28 K.. Walked from Manapouri to Supply Bay (2 hours) meandered and explored a lot of tracks that lead off the main cycle track. Beautiful and very well marked, especially down to the lake where a kind soul has constructed a board walk so us trampers don't get wet.
