My family stayed for 2 nights and we had a wonderful time. Win, the owner was fabulous with her warm welcome. There was freshly baked goodies and some other food all stacked in the kitchen awaiting our arrival. The apartment was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The farm itself is gorgeous and my kids absolutely loved the time there, my little one still talks about Phoebe the Deer! Only 5min drive into Te Anau. I highly recommend staying here, we can't wait to return!

My family (2 adults and 2 children) stayed at Dusky Ridges for 2 nights in March. Win greeted us on arrival and showed us our apartment. The apartment is lovely, nicely decorated, updated, clean and big enough for our family. Win baked us fresh bread and a yummy chocolate brownie that we enjoyed on arrival. The grounds are gorgeous with views of the lake. We wandered around the grounds and Win and Henry introduced us to the animals. The animals were very tame and interactive and my kids loved feeding them and playing with them. A treat was when Wins grandchildren visited and played with my children for hours allowing my husband and I some time to chill. The provisions included a basket full of snacks, eggs, bacon, sausage, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee and more fresh baked bread. It was more than enough food. The B&B is located just a few minutes drive from town. Both Win and Henry went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and fun. We appreciate all the care and thoughtfulness, they put into their home and farm. Dusky Ridges was our favorite Bed and Breakfast on the trip. We miss the animals and peacefulness and definitely want to return. Nearby activities: The town of Te Anau has restaurants, shops, water sports on the lake, glow worm caves, bird sanctuary.

Our family are super happy for our stay at Dusky Ridges: from nice, tidy and comfortable rooms to fresh food from the farm, from owners kind smiles and great arrangement to unique farm animal experience. Nothing to complain. And much greater experience than what we expected. We strongly suggest you book 1-2 nights here if you are around Te Anau.
