I am an international student from Korea! After 7 months of arriving in New Zealand, I think I finally found a chicken restaurant that is most similar to Korean chicken! Arguably, this is the best place in the South Island for chicken taste!

I had made a reservation 2 days prior to visiting Invito through their website. However, upon arriving at the restaurant, we were told that there was no reservation under our name. After showing the confirmation email, they reluctantly seated us at a table. We had specifically requested a reservation for 6.30pm as we were with an infant and did not want to interfere with his nap time. Unfortunately, we were left waiting for 30 minutes without any service or even a highchair for the baby or some water. This was extremely disappointing, and we were left feeling frustrated and let down. To add to our disappointment, the front of house manager, who appeared to be in charge, did not seem to care about our situation. Instead of apologizing or offering any assistance, he appeared to be uninterested and disengaged from the situation. We have been loyal customers of Invito since the day they opened and even brought my mother, who was visiting New Zealand, to try the food that we raved about. However, due to the poor service and lack of care shown to us, we had to leave without even a drop of water. This was a huge letdown and we will not be returning to Invito in the future. Overall, our experience at Invito was extremely disappointing, and we cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a pleasant and attentive dining experience.
