This is the definition of hidden jewel. It's off the beaten path; one of the things that make it even better. It's a bit of a drive on a dirt/gravel road that narrows in spots. The car park and trail head are well-marked. The trail begins though beautiful forest, but before long is wide open. The trail is extremely narrow the entire way. Once you clear the tree line, it is not always obvious due to plant growth around/over it. There are orange trail markers here and there to assist. In the worst case, though, just continue up the saddle. You can only go up or over the side. Once you reach the top, the numerous small lakes and view of surrounding mountains and valleys will make you glad you came here.
