        Amazing place. Sandfly repellent is a must but with a good one they leave you alone and chase away the unprepared. Walk the Lake edge, Lookout track. Explore the history of Lost Tribes, Lady of the Lake, Curses and Lake Monsters. (Google Jeremy Wade NZ Long fin Eels). Stay in Tuatapere, grab a kayak or take a Jet boat adventure from NZ Mountains to the Wild South Coast. Teal bay, Hump Ridge Track or the Dusky at the top of the Lake that takes you deep into untouched NZ Rainforest. Lost Valleys of Gold, Moa, Taniwha....
