This is likely the southernmost winter gardens in the world. Whilst small, it is a well kept greenhouse with a good selection of tropical plants.

Free to enter, and well worth the time to visit! If you've joined in the pandemic-era houseplant mania (as I have) or even happen to have had plant pets before that, you'll find it's a lot of fun to spot giant, thriving versions of the plants you have at home. Be aware that masks are encouraged inside, so don't leave yours in the car when you start your walk through the gardens. (It was just through sheer luck that I had mine, since I had only anticipated being outside.)

Such a beautiful place to visit and relax. Contains some stunning plants and flowers which we do not usually find here in NZ. Plus there r even tags which tell you where they are from. This place is a perfect oasis to take a seat on the nice bench & warm up if its a cold invercargill day. Make sure to bring the kids here as in the centre is a boat contained in a pond and surrounded by fish. There is also a nice fresh smell in the winter gardens, something I do not always find in other winter gardens Ive visited. Make sure to check it out !
