A small and simple garden that expresses the feel of a Japanese garden. Sadly it was an overcast day that didn't present the garden at its best. Worth a visit on a nice and sunny day.

NOT CLOSED - open for visitors! Just FYI in case the listing isn't yet updated and still says it's temporarily closed. This is a small garden, but quite pretty. The walkway takes you to a little building where you can look out over the carefully shaped main Japanese garden and read some information about it. Probably not worth a visit on its own unless you're super into Japanese gardens and need to see all of them in NZ for some reason. Definitely worth stopping by if you're already nearby in the park, though!

Awesome walk through this new edition to Queens Park. Family friendly and the goldfish are huge.

Shaping up to be fantastic. Will be great once complete. Park gardeners do a fantastic job keeping this and Queens Park looking fantastic A visit to Invercargill is not complete until you've had a stroll through the multiple areas of the park. Grab yourself a hire of a few Disc Golf discs at the Herbert Street dairy and have a throw around the Disc Golf course, all baskets are par 3 so not too demanding but a heap of fun with ya mates or family.
