A nice section of goblin forest, lush with mosses and ferns forming an easy loop. Some steps and roots but suitable for a capable child 4+ years old. There's a short offshoot track that takes you down some steep steps to the falls themselves; young children would need supervision here. This loop is probably a better example of goblin forest then the Kamahi loop. Loop starts and stops at the main car park.

Its a beautiful waterfall in the Egmont national park

We hiked many portions of this trail while visiting Egmont National Park, and some of these trails were our favorites! The trails are well developed and well marked. The trails go through thick, wooded areas with lush greenery all around. These trails can be steep, rocky, and muddy, so wear good hiking boots. There are also multiple stream crossings that you will have to negotiate, and they can be a little more difficult if it has been raining. We hiked to Dawson Falls, which you should not miss, then walked the track to the Waingongoro Hut so that we could cross the highest suspension swing bridge in the park!! Crossing that bridge is an experience that you will enjoy and remember from your hikes in Egmont Park! It was not an easy hike to the bridge, but it was pretty amazing!! We also hiked to Wilkies Pools and crossed the river on the swing bridge there. (Not as high as the other bridge, but still a great sight) Definitely explore this area and walk on the swing bridge when you are in the park.
