Pioneer Manufacturing Ltd (Metro Fires)

We wanted a bench fire, there was only one on the market by another provider which we did't like. We asked Metro to modify this one from their range , which originally is manufactured on a pedistal. We are absolutely thrilled with it, it has been finished beautifully. Metro worked with us and our plumber who installed it, to ensure we had the look we wanted as well as met all code of compliance specificatons. very highly recommend Metro.

We bought the Wee Rad many years ago now for our holiday home. It is a beautiful looking heater but better than that is it's performance. We can get up in the morning stoke the coals and we are off and running again. I recently contacted Metro Pioneer as we had an enquiry, their service and promt reply was professional to say the least. We are extremely happy with the heater and are now researching for another one for our home. Brilliant customer service, somewhat hard to find these days. Nearly 5 years ago we built a new home without a wood burner, and had elected to go with gas central heating.However with the increasing price of power/gas we decided to install a wood-burner. We have had Metro fires for years, so had no qualms about the quality of the fires, and this time we decided on an Ambie One Black Gloss VE, which would sit nicely in our new home, and we are absolutely thrilled with it. It looks fabulous in our living area, as if it was always meant to be there, and placing it on a slimline floor protector, it doesnt become the obstacle of the hearths in the past. We love the ambiance of a fire, and the Ambie One looks fabulous while burning, and is so efficient heating our 3 bedroom home. I love that in summer when it is not in use, it is a black glass front, so we are not looking into the grey and messy firebox, but instead looking at a sleek, modern fire which is now another piece of furniture, covered with my pot plants. We are thrilled with our choice and would totally recommend the Metro Ambie One fire

I have the midsized metro fire and love it! It was installed in 2006 and is still going strong after all these years. I love that it is made in NZ and that you can easily get parts for it. Always great service from the Taranaki team. Would highly recommend.
