New Wave Ultrasound made me feel incredibly comfortable as a first time mum and their technology made it so easy for me and my husband to see our baby every time we went for a scan. We have so many lovely clear pictures of our baby. Their reception/admin team is really friendly and helpful! I highly recommend New Wave.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! If I could give more stars, I would! We had the absolute best experience with New Wave Ultrasound. this was for my second baby. They were very welcoming and informative with everything that was going on. We had scans every 2 weeks as our baby was getting quite big and out of all the scans we had we didn't have 1 clear photo as she was such a wriggler. We said this to the lady at our last scan at 38 weeks and she spent an extra 15 mins to try and get us a clear picture. We ended up with a photo worth framing. Fabulous service!!!

My experience with new wave was not a good one. I had my 12 week ultrasound here. The sonographer was borderline rude. She commented my bladder was not full enough and the baby wasn't in the right position. She told me to drink about 200mls of cold water asked me to walk a block and back and jump up and down multiple times on the spot to try and shift the baby. Then said my bladder was too full after the tiny glass of water I drunk. The ultrasound transducer was pushed into my stomach very hard and used to try and move the baby in my belly, causing a great deal of discomfort. I felt bruised for 4 days after this experience all in my opinion unnecessarily when I could have been offered another appointment to come back which I would have happily done. I will not return to new wave, we have multiple options for private ultrasounds in New plymouth, my advice is choose a different business.
