        Very nice walk and some cool bridges. beware of the mild amounts of errossion around the walk. and the very long winding road on the way in. it is worth taking the drive in very slowly.

        What a shame we didn't get to do this walk. Lovely drive out through some hilly farmland....but it is a very poorly kept road.... large potholes, narrow and windy. 53 minutes to get here from Urenui, so keeping in mind the cost of fuel.... only to be met with a closed for winter sign. Maybe if we'd researched a bit more we would have found this out but just going by the Google map saying open 24hrs and the fact it is Spring we didn't know.... only guessing it might be because of lambing but not much info on the sign by the track either. We have encountered a few closed tracks around the country and not sure why have them at all if you aren't free to access them all year around.

        What an enjoyable walk at Purangi Walkways Taranaki. Amazing scenery and wonderful kiwi hospitality provided by Karen and Bob. Highly recommended for taking a break from everything.
