Amazing huge wind turbines that you can drive right up to. Definitely worth the small detour from the main road to be amazed by the size and scale. No visitor facilities. Read signs carefully, some roads are private. There is a small viewing area with a seat that gives a good photo opportunity. More information about the wind farm can be found on Wikipedia.

After driving on a gravel road for 5-10min, you can park n walk very closed to the windmill at the lookout. Stunning view of the fields with multiple windmills as backdrops. Very impressive!!! Personal I think this wind farm is much better than the one Palmerston North one.
