        We did the Whanganui paddle early in the season (start of Nov) and consequently found the huts empty. What a treat. There was only our little group of 3 and another group of 2 staying in the hut with us. There are 3 double gas burners here, 4 toilets and plenty of running water to boil. Not too much of a walk up from the river to the site either. Easy spot to pull up for the night. Solar power lights inside the kitchen at night. Beautiful location to sit and relax after a day on the water. Recommend as a pull up spot for the night
