We had a lucky escape here. We chanced calling at 22:15 to stay here as we needed somewhere to stay at the last minute as the accommodation we originally booked didnt feel safe. Weve been travelling round NZ now for 2 months, and all other hostels we have stayed in would have accommodated this. It also said online that you can check in until 23:00. Owner was incredibly rude on the phone.And looking at his response to other negative reviews, hes utterly rude, child-like and completely unprofessional (expecting nothing less from this one). Glad we didnt stay here and spend our money - avoid.

Small remarks: only one ladder for 2 high beds in our room, a bit complicated to get off the bed. And maybe too few toilets and showers for the number of people. But otherwise, very nice! (Original) Trs bonne auberge trs bien situe, dans le centre de New Plymouth. Accueil sympathique, grande cuisine et grandes salles communes. Petites remarques : une seule chelle pour 2 lits en hauteur dans notre chambre, un peu compliqu pour descendre du lit. Et peut tre trop peu de toilettes et de douches pour le nombre de personnes. Mais sinon, trs chouette !
