Deciding to learn to play piano at 60 years old was very daunting for me but I couldnt have picked a better teacher than Rob. So much so that even though he moved from Scotland to New Zealand I am continuing my lessons via zoom. He definitely has the patience of a saint having me as a student. Heather Wicker

Rob is a patient, kind and incredibly talented teacher. Within the space of a few months, he transformed the way I approached the piano and gave me the confidence to believe in my ability after many years of not playing. I had played as a child and young adult, then stopped for 20 years. I was very nervous about returning to lessons and Rob did all he could to help me feel relaxed and positive about playing again. I cannot thank him enough for all he did for me! My 11 year old daughter also had lessons with Rob and thoroughly enjoyed it, she progressed quickly and with confidence under his well-trained eye. Highly recommended for both adults and children. A brilliant teacher!

Rob is a wonderful, knowledgeable and patient teacher. He has thought through lesson plans; he thinks about the right repertoire; he really considered what I wanted and needed, rather than a generic structure. Lessons about theory mixed in with the repertoire as it relates, and a patent yet persistent style designed to get it exactly right in the end. Highly recommended, coming from a former adult student.
