Asuka Sushi

This is by far the best Sushi in town. I eat sushi at least once or twice a week and this is consistently the best quality and value sushi in New Plymouth.

I tried this place for the first time a couple months back and now I can not stop going back, their teriyaki and katsu chicken donburi are amazing, very friendly staff, and always happy to see me, highly recommend trying them out

Bento box was horrible, the chicken katsu tasted like it was cooked in old oil, had a very "burnt taste". Sushi was average. Worst sushi place I've tried.

This awesome little gem located in the Centre City Food Court is highly recommended for exceptional Japanese cuisine. My favourite dish by far is a bowl of crumbed Katsu chicken schnitzel atop white rice & coleslaw, finished off with mayonnaise & a bbq-style sauce - so fresh & tasty, really healthy plus great value for money! To make my experience even better, the owner who usually serves customers has a welcoming smile, positive attitude & is always happy to pass on information about the range of food on offer. If you're looking to branch out & try something new, please support this fantastic local eatery - you certainly won't be disappointed!
