Avoid at all costs. Not only are they average mechanics without a proper diagnostic Reader, they also charge so much its beyond a joke. I highly recommend not buying a car they service or travelling to Wellington or Hamilton for European car work. Now that I live in New Plymouth I will never buy a car which requires WR Philips to look after, they are the worst car mechanics I have ever come across. This sounds like a rant but honestly, dont own a European car in New Plymouth which requires interaction with WR PHILIPS. You will regret it!

Sadly this is a company who has a monopoly position on servicing European vehicles. They know it and charge accordingly $$$$, while the quality of the service is just average. I've started having my VW serviced out of town as it's much better quality of service at a competitive price.

Long time fan, first time buyer and I don't think I've been this taken care of since I was a newborn! First new car for my wife and I, which could have been a nerve-wracking experience. Ryan and the team were there every step of the way with sound knowledge, patience and just good vibes. Wouldn't even think of going anywhere else!
