Had our photos taken by Gareth. He made it so much fun, such a great experience even took the extra time for my son with asd. Can't wait to get them taken again with some extra whanau. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for some amazing family photos

My brother, sister and I jumped at the chance to attend a Mori styled photoshoot while Poihakena Portraits were in Sutherland for the day and we couldn't be happier that we did! The 45-minute session went seamlessly and was well organised. Teowai made us feel instantly welcomed and comfortable. We were so pleased with how our portraits came out and these taonga will hang in our whare for decades to come. I would highly recommend any Australian Mori whnau to keep an eye out on the Poihakena Portrait Facebook page for when they're travelling portrait sessions are coming near you!!!

Just wanted to say a massive Nga mihi to our photographer today he was very patient with our little ones and just made the entire experience flow very smoothly. I cannot wait to see our beautiful portraits.

My whanau and I were so happy with our portraits. I have a very active 16month old and they were so good with my baby. We felt comfortable and welcomed from beginning to end and were given a big variety of kakahu to choose from. My portraits were ready 3 days after making payment 5 days after shooting and we couldnt be more happier with the results
