        Many years ago (1970's) a friend and I tramped up to the Salisbury twice. The second time we spent 4 days there just chilling out and wandering around the area. It was peaceful, fun, and quiet. This was in the days when it was only a donation as payment, and you filled out the visitors book, and left some pre-chopped fire wood. Cooking was via a big fire stove with wet back for a small amount of hot water. Lighting was your own means, so we had two Tellus meths lamps. In both directions we also stayed at Flora Hut, very basic.
