        Very easy 2 hour track up to the hut. Wide enough to have a few friends walking side by side. Well kept and very new hut with good bedding and facilities. The road is very bumpy and windy to get to the car park. Allow for an hour at least from Takaka, the map is deceiving. Nice lakes further on ahead.
