Id just like to clarify for anyone who has been recommended this accomodation, it USED to be amazing BUT is now under new management and is the most appallingly unprofessional, disgusting place that anyone could have the misfortune of staying in. We booked this as a place to get ready before our wedding and the lady who manages it now was nearly an hour late to let us in. The next day she had a complete meltdown when the hair and make-up artists and photographer arrived as she viewed them to be extra guests and then tried to kick us out half way through getting ready. Even if she had been polite, there was someone working on power tools the whole morning in the shed right next door and it really wasnt a nice experience. We were so disappointed.

As we drove through the gate of Last Straw Cottage we were greeted by a storybook cottage with beautiful landscaping. A massive wisteria vine wound around two sides of the porch and fragrant white roses adorned the path to the house and the front porch. A kitchen garden sat just outside the door along with a table and chairs with a big umbrella where we ultimately ate most our meals. The house itself was charming. Cozy and comfortable with books, magazines and games overflowing a bookshelf. The kitchen was completely kitted out and included a fresh loaf of homemade bread, some tasty snack bars (also homemade), fresh eggs in a basket, milk, juice, yogurt and a pantry with many kinds of cereal and homemade granola. The bedrooms were large and the beds so comfortable with beautiful linens. The straw window was fascinating and allows you to see why the cottage feels so cozy. Thoughtful touches were everywhere-a box of tissues by every bedside along with a small flashlight, a shelf stocked with extra large towels in the bathroom, thick blankets draped over both couches. I can honestly say I have never felt more at home at a B and B. The hosts were attentive and even let me help feed the baby calves. We walked through the paddock and climbed a hill for a stunning view of the surrounding countryside. Overall, my favorite stay anywhere and I hope to visit again.
