Absolutely loved our visit to this fabulous gallery :-) The garden is a beautiful place full of gorgeous art pieces set amongst the trees and plants. It was an uplifting and magical experience to wander through it all.
The studios (inside) are also full of treasures, including paintings, sculptures, and jewellery. A lot of the pieces are made from recycled materials, such as metal and wire, and re-purposed to wonderful effect.
Viewing the upstairs gallery installation was a special experience in itself. The art pieces tell an important story about nature and music and are set to a special music score composed by a NZ musician.
The creators of this artistic wonderland are resident artists Toy and Kas. Such amazingly talented and lovely people! They were so welcoming and really happy to talk about their work.
There's a sense of fun and joy in many of the pieces that felt unique and heart-warming. There are also pieces that tell important stories. We couldn't resist buying one of the gorgeous pieces to take home with us and we'll definitely be visiting again!
