        Awesome walk up to the top of Takaka hill. Great views all round. Took the bush walk on the way back which is definitely worth the extra few mins for the trees and cave. Couldn't see a sign that said 'No Dogs' unlike a lot of the other places in the area so took the pooch for a short walk on the lead - not sure if this was allowed but really thankful to the land owners and QE2 trust if dogs are allowed, because beautiful dog friendly walks are hard to find in the area.
