Great campsite, basic facilities but drinkable water, an ever-changing beach with many large shells, walks are the beach or the road in. Jenny's very friendly and helpful. There's even a beach library to use. Very nice, very affordable.

Really nice low cost spot to spend a night or two. Drinking water available and a gorgeous sunrise if you're lucky

We had a kind of strange experience here in contrast to all the other reviews. We were tenting and picked one of the free spots, but the caretaker wouldn't let us camp where we had picked. We were instead shown two spots where we weren't able to park our car (with all our belongings) next to it. This was all done in a "Oh, I'll show you some great tent spots!" kind of way and it was only when we explicitly asked "are we not able to camp where we picked?" That she eventually said no. We decided to leave and head to Ruby Bay, where we felt much more welcome. So if you're tenting, maybe give this place a miss.
