We couldn't recommend Hack n Stay more. Easily our favourite accommodation across 6 months in NZ. Magical experience on the horses, riding on the beach. Neither of us had ridden before and Baerbel and Pippa were amazing at coaching us and giving us the confidence to go well beyond what we imagined we'd do. Our horses McDuff and Brown Acre were lovely and eased our obvious nerves! The house is so cozy and comfortable, and our room was great. We felt like we could have stayed for weeks and we were sad to leave. Baerbel was a great host and so generous with her time - we left having learnt a lot from her! We'll be back.

We came to Hack n Stay to stay for one night in the house and a ride on Patons Rock beach. The farm is an absolutely gorgeous place, created with so much love and attention - you notice little details on every corner. Brbel, the owner was very kind to us and she is so knowledgeable about horses and open to sharing her experience with the guests. What I loved the most is the approach Brbel and her team have towards horses - they are certainly very happy and well treated there! Our 2,5 hour beach ride was an absolute blast, led by Pippa - a true highlight of our trip to Nelson region! Highly recommend this place for all horse, animal and nature lovers!

(Translated by Google) The farm looks like a picture book - a fantastically beautiful place! We were only going to stay one night but added a second because we loved it so much! There are many options for parking the camper, with each pitch having its own area - even with its own picnic table. For our 2nd bad weather night we were allowed to park in the barn so that the rain is not so loud and the way to the toilet is dry. The kitchen is clean and has everything you need. When the weather was bad on our second night, many made dinner there and we met a lot of cool people and even looked at the fireflies together. The toilets are very clean, there are several showers and several ways to refill drinking water. It is also great that you can ride horses there. We took part in the beach ride and were thrilled to experience the beach on horseback for 2.5 hours. Clear recommendation, we would love to come back! (Original) Die Farm sieht aus wie us dem Bilderbuch - ein traumhaft schner Ort! Wir wollten nur eine Nacht bleiben, haben aber noch eine zweite drangehngt, weil es uns so gefallen hat! Es gibt viele Mglichkeiten mit dem Camper zu parken, wobei jeder Stellplatz seinen eigenen Bereich hat - sogar mit eigenem Picknicktisch. Fr unsere 2. Schlecht-Wetter-Nacht durften wir in der Barn parken, damit der Regen nicht so laut und der Weg zur Toilette trocken ist. Die Kche ist sauber und hat alles, was man braucht. Beim schlechten Wetter in unserer 2. Nacht, haben sich dort viele ihr Abendessen gemacht und wir haben viele coole Leute kennengelernt und sogar noch gemeinsam die Glhwrmchen angeschaut. Die Toiletten sind sehr sauber, es gibt mehrere Duschen und mehrere Mglichkeiten Trinkwasser aufzufllen. Ebenfalls sehr toll ist es, dass man dort reiten kann. Wir haben den Beach Ride mitgemacht und waren begeistert auf dem Rcken der Pferde 2,5h den Strand zu erleben. Klare Empfehlung, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Beautiful place, the walk to the beach is nice and there's glow worms on the way. You can either camp there or stay at the house, which I highly recommend cause it's a nice cozy place.
