Bowen Eye Clinic

My wife Karen and I both scuba-dive and, as our plans for the next 3 years involve sailing a yacht around the world, the bother of glasses was not an option. That, combined with one of our staff recently having Lasik eye surgery and raving about it, had us checking it out at the Richmond (Nelson) eye clinic that Dr Reece Hall comes to from Wellington each month. After quick and thorough testing, we found Lasik Blended Vision would benefit both of us, and we booked the procedure in Wellington the following month. We appreciated the discount for our being out-of-towners, as that took care of flights, taxis, accommodation and dining out. The procedure itself was quick and painless, and whilst Karen had some discomfort in one eye later that evening (felt like accidentally poking yourself in the eye with a mascara brush, she said), painkillers and an early night took care of it and all was fine the next morning. She says it was more than worth it, now being able to do crosswords, read, sew, drive, go to the movies, etc without glasses, and I had no trouble driving the 2-hour trip home from the airport the next day. We found Dr Reece Hall and his team to be thoroughly competent, professional, friendly, personable and easy to understand. We appreciated not having to wait around at any time, getting just the right amount of information for us, and being able to get follow-up checks with Reece on his monthly trips to Nelson. We can't wait to do our next dive!

I had blended lasik surgery about 6 months ago and I'm thrilled with the result! It took a few months for my close up vision to settle but distant vision was excellent from day 1. I am SO looking forward to a summer where I'm not swapping between galsses/sunnies. Swimming is already fantastic I can see the end of the pool, or where I Ieft my gear on the beach!.. I would have no hesitation recommending Dr Hall and his clinic they were all very professional and put me at ease straight away.
