        This beautiful spot in the Aniseed Valley is one of our favourite places for a swim. There are barbecue areas and toilets and plenty of grassed areas for games. Sometimes in the summer the river can get too warm and green slime can build up. The sand flies can be a problem too. At just 9 km from Richmond it takes less than 15 minutes to drive there. Plus you get great views of the Waimea Plains as you drive up the hill.
