Our endangered native kea are dying of lead poisoning. Lead is a toxic heavy metal which is present across the South Island in the form of lead shot, lead wheel weights, paint, roof flashings and nail heads in back country buildings constructed prior to the 1990s. To our kea its a chewey sweet tasting treat and its a major cause of the rapid decline in our kea population. Kea Mortality Accidents Trauma, Predation, Avian Disease, LEAD POISONING, Climate Change, Human conflict, Illicit wildlife trade, Accidental poisoning. The 'Lead Heads is a Nelson based volunteer group tasked with removing lead from back country structures and were sincerely grateful to Geoff at Tasman Roofing for his concern and generosity. He's supplied us with invaluable replacement materials for this work over the years. Many Thanks Geoff!

I can not speak highly enough of Sonya, Geoff & the installation crew. Total legends. In this busy industry, with building supplies low & a real commodity, Tasman Roofing went over and above to get our new roof installed.
