        Placed literally 800 metres from the national park, this could not be more perfect. Loads of outdoor facilities but even in the rain they have a cosy living room with a fire. We had the best time exploring the national park and when we got back had one of the famous burgers they make some nights of the week- just amazing, so delicious. Rooms were basic but good and the showers were lovely!! Lovely guys running it too.

        Rooms: Simple wooden bunk beds, top bunk tricky to climb up too. Not much space for bag storage etc. Each bed has a plug socket and light which is so handy. Nearby activities: Lots of kayak companies near by and the water taxi. Walkability: Can walk to the Abel Tasman park in 15mins Food & drinks: Can get barista coffee everyday (for $5), and once a week they make burgers and fries ($15)
