        Hopefully the main info can be updated to highlight this is a 4WD track; it's not a "normal" metal road you can drive carefully in a car. I'm used to driving on metal roads in the Coromandel but our attempt to reach the centre of the North Island was thwarted a few kilometres of slow driving in.

        Not many sign posts or directions to show where it was..but hey pleased we found it. Watch out for the roads into to..huge pot holes!
