I made a phone call which I thought would be a quick conversation and wanting a yes for no answer. They asked for more information and proceeded to charge me $200+. I never even got a response to the question I asked. I ended up calling another accountant and got the answer within a minute no charge from them. I think companies should be transparent and upfront about costs. I was asking what I thought was a simple question which could be answered over the phone. If you are going to charge for phone calls at least mention. When questioning why they would send an invoice the lady was very rude and said I should know their costs as I was a client with them 9 years ago. I mentioned I have never been charged for a 1 min call phone. She was very dismissive. I find this whole situation very sneaky and deceitful.
