Fantastic all round. Anne, our host was amazing. We got caught in the cyclone and without hesitation she allowed all the guests to stay free until we could continue our holidays. The power went off, the fire was lit, out came the candles and a great musical evening followed. What more do want in a cyclone? Thanks again Anne

We were travelling as a group of 4 Canadians and Anne was an exceptional host. We arrived while the cyclone was hitting the area and Anne was able to guide us with things to do and places to eat as our arranged tours were cancelled. Anne cooked us delicious breakfasts every morning and we were very comfortable relaxing in front of the fireplace. As a tour guide herself she was full of information on sites to see while touring New Zealand. We highly recommend staying at the Lonely Bay with Anne!

Our family of four stayed four marvelous nights at 970 Lonely Bay Lodge at the end of 2022 and it was our favorite lodge of the three weeks we spent in New Zealand. Anne was our host and she did everything to perfection. Breakfast was spot-on every day and since we had four of the five rooms, we almost had the run of the place. Despite being somewhat the oddballs (we hung around the house a lot more than most guests, I think) Anne was able to roll with our idiosyncrasies. Though the Coromandel has a lot to offer, Lonely Bay was so nice we were happy to laze away in the comfort we found there. We also had the pleasure of meeting Jane, the owner, who is a treasure to converse with. Don't pass this one by.
