Can not recommend The Meadows highly enough. The most incredible, kind, hard working and loving kaiako and staff you could possibly find in a daycare. Our son is absolutely thriving here. The rooms are modern, there is a huge outdoor space for play, a petting farm, a maze at the front and a coffee container on site with a playground. What more could you ask for! The children are provided with amazing healthy meals all cooked on site by the in house chef. We have had our minds blown by the extensive list of different experiences our son has been a part of here. He is constantly learning new things and is been given the opportunity to explore indoor and outdoor play in numerous different ways every day. No day is the same and you can see the amazing effort that has gone in to setting up the rooms with different things for the kids to explore every morning when they arrive. We often arrive in the afternoon to everyone dancing/singing together with big smiles on their faces. Or all snuggled up together reading stories. You can see the love that the kids and the Kaiako have for one another. Look no further - honestly The Meadows is the best.

My daughter has been here for one and half years, the word "home" has meant "The Meadows" from the beginning for her. Every morning, she can't wait to open the door to go there. All the details like this make me feel so grateful to all of teachers who are so nice and patient! The place has all sorts of facilities that make kids' day full of fun, and everything is well organised. Couldn't find a better place.

After numerous visits and tours of nearby daycare centers to my home in Ohaupo I enrolled my son Darcy at 'The Meadows' in early 2023. It was a 'no brainer' for me that the 'The Meadows' was exactly what I was looking for. It has everything I was after. The purpose built facility offers a very functional space which, in my opinion offers our tamariki a 'home away from home' vibe. The building is drenched with natural light inside and opens up to a wonderful outdoor play area where the children's needs are met from all angles. Inside there are some lovely spaces for the children to explore from reading nooks, untold creative spaces that are equipped with building blocks, lego, craft supplies, dress ups, black boards, mini tents, loads of lush rugs and soft furnishings, shelves loaded with educational toys from trucks, cars, dinosaurs and a huge animal collection to ragdolls, rainbows, make your own 'anything' blocks etc etc to their very own libraries giving them the opportunity to keep records and pictures of their family, places they love, places they're from, artwork they have created... it all just works very well to allow our little ones a place in which to thrive. Not only that but the staff here run a very tight ship and everything seems to have its place and always feels clean and organised despite the chaos that inhibits it (all our little monsters having a blast). I think this really helps our children to maintain a healthy focus, rather than a space which is a kind of 'anything goes' where it can become very scattered and in my opinion doesn't help our children's restful and relaxed focus. The outdoor space is loaded with good, dirty fun. Mud, sand pits, bikes, mud kitchen, vege patches, bridges, slides, balls, music, painting spaces... even real live animals to see. Very lucky children! I was also very pleased to see that the children are encouraged to make their own toast each morning and gather together at the table to start their day. This is evident to grow their confidence and independence, best idea ever! I planned to keep this brief but there is so much to be positive about! I must mention the staff... super hero's! Always bright and cheerful and gently showing our children healthy and positive boundaries, caring for one another and our children makes for the best vibes and the happiest days. I don't know where they get the strength? Their patience is second to none! Thank you everyone and special mention to Rex who keeps their tummies full and their energy levels up... you have taught my son to be adventurous with his palette and mealtimes at home are now a dream! Your lovely smells woft down through the place and make it smell warm and homely. Joann, you are an absolute godsend for all that you have created and do for us. All of that unseen labour, paperwork, planning and I'm sure so much more, I know I have made the best choice for Darcy and he is thriving. Thank you each and every one of you at the 'Meadows'. One happy mum!!!
