SBS Bank - Hamilton

We have been with SBS for about 7-8 years. They have always been reasonable with lending and their online services are adequate. Wait times for the loan department can be long. Also, remote foreign transfers are not possible (you have to do it in-branch).

I had applied for a service using their online portal, they collected several financial information, subsequently, they wrote an email asking for several documents without providing any provisional approval. At this stage, I withdrew the application, I was told that the sensitive information provided will be retained and can't be destroyed, which is a serious violation of my privacy. I advise everyone to refrain from using the services of this bank as they have serious privacy transgression.

I was waiting to hear back someone from Home loan department, unfortunately no body hasnt call back for last three days. Every single time when I call contact center, there were no solution and staff not able to provide information. I highly believe staff are not trained and not qualified enough to the job. Very unprofessional service. Some staff were very arrogant rude and very unprofessional.
