Prices are higher then other competitors. But they can order in for you Helpfull staff. Got full stock of timber. Parking outside front. Trailer to help with the load.

Had a seriously bizarre experience with these guys. Doing a renovation and using a trade account from a very large construction company who's bosses are also building their own personal homes through these guys. Expected relatively good trade prices. We had just visited Bunnings to buy some plants and told my partner to take photos of the prices of stainless fixings as a comparison. Then went to Placemakers Te Rapa and began gathering an extensive list of stainless fixings. When we went up to the trade desk the guy showed us the pricing on the trade account and bolts were almost double the price of Bunnings walk in price. Other fixings were also hugely over priced even with a huge trade account. All the guy at the trade counter had to say was "go to Bunnings then". Gobsmacked. That's their customer service working at its best. Just shrug your shoulders and tell people to go to Bunnings. How these guys are still in business is Astounding. If that guy was fronting my business and sending people to my competitors id sack him. Put it this way. If you find anything that bunnings stocks at a competitors store cheaper then Bunnings will beat that price by 10%. Placemakers just tell their loyal trade customers to go buy from their competitors. It's the most bizarre way to run a business. My advice. Anyone with any trade account with Placemakers needs to check their prices as they seem way way out and not in the slightest bit competitive. They definitely don't care and are most likely ripping you off.
