Good experience with YWRC in Waikato immigration settlement centres workshop. The teacher gave a very clear talk to us and that helped a lot. Good job!

This is a great resource for young workers (under 35 years old) to avail themselves of. The folks at the YWRC provide, knowledgeable services all for FREE. For example, a member of the YWRC can be a support person to you through any formal processes at work. Your support person can even speak on your behalf, so that you don't have to be afraid of saying "the wrong thing." If your employer has not already mentioned that you may have a support person with you, then just ask, as they are required by law to tell you if you can have one. I didn't even realise how critical it is to have a support person with you - even through run-of-the-mill processes at work. So if you wonder if you need a support person or not, then the answer is YES. If you feel nervous about things happening at work, or unsure about how your employer is treating you, then reach out to the Young Workers' Resource Centre. They will be able to let you know what your options are and how to handle future communications with your employer.
