Absolutely loved the timber trail. Awesome trails, well groomed, well sign posted and the scenery is ever changing but always beautiful. They are long days but could potentially camp in the middle if walking or bike packing. We rode full day, camped in the middle for a rest day then rode out on stage two on our third day. Super fab trail!

A total immersion in pure nz nature. Single track the whole way. We did this as a family (kids 6 & 8 years old) and camped at the start and at PiroPiro and totally loved it! Be prepared - there is no good, drink, or rescue along the trail.
