Horrible treatment of my son by Grinters. My son's coffin was too small for him so his head was slumped forward on his chest, unlike when we saw him at the mortuary. They didn't put my son's shoes on him because they wouldn't fit because the coffin was too small. There was no padding under my son at all, just on hard board. There were exposed staples all across the edge of the coffin. When we asked for a different coffin Jim Goddin was aggressive and rude to us, also threatened that we might not get my son back in the same day which was very distressing for all the family, especially those who had just arrived from overseas, and because we had already arranged that we were going to have my son home with family for three days. The wrong birth year was put on his photo show . The receptionist nearly took the photos of Sam back to the wrong house. We were told they would ring us when the death certificate was ready, but didn't ring, we had to chase them up ourselves. I have been working in health care for 30 years and would never ever ever treat anyone like that. My son was training as a health carer and he would never ever have treated anyone like that. They didn't let the cemetery in that my son was now in a bigger coffin, and they only found out on the morning and had to extend the size of the grave quickly. No idea where the memorial books are.
