Near the end of our 9 week visit to NZ from San Francisco (including meals at 2- & 3-hat restaurants such as Cocoro, Hello Beasty, Logan Brown & Onslow), we thought dinner at Alpha Street was one of our best! Thanks to the new owners & chef Nicole. Salt & pepper calamari was equal to our gold standard of Dux in CHCH, & the lamb rump & vegetables (green beans & broccolini) were cooked & plated to perfection. Wine pairings & sticky date pudding were terrific - we hope to be back again on a future visit.

Visited Alpha St Kitchen for dinner last night, a very limited menu which first gave us pause; but we where able to find meals that suited our tastes I orderd the Market Fish and my partner the Pork Loins, both where good size pirtions (bigger than we expected) perfectly cooked amazing flavors and beautifully presented. Staff whete attentive but not pushy a very enjoyable experience and we will be back.
