Drive along a paper road until you reach the turn off for the hut. Track to the hut is strictly 4wd only and as it is only 1km the walk is nice and easy. Although the hut is used mainly by hunters looking to shoot deer it is free for anybody prepared to make the journey. Very basic amenities, 4 berth bunks and a fireplace for warmth in the winter. No running water inside but the creek outside looks fine for collecting and boiling for a good supply of drinking water. Rats and possums nest in the ceiling so expect company. The toilet is a contained long drop a short walk from the back of the hut.
