Upon meeting Jade at my consultation a week prior to December 3rd 2021, I was impressed with the salon and she seemed lovely so I was excited to get my hair done since it hadn't been done in over a year. I booked in and the day before my aptmnt she txt to ask if I could postpone my apptmt from 9am and change it to 1pm as she had a booking that morning she'd totally forgot about. I wasn't prepared for that as I had an eyelash appointment booked and would have to get back to her once I'd spoken with my eyelash girl. That afternoon she msgd again via txt to say that I needn't worry as she'd managed to move that clients day..So the day of I'm expecting great things as $385.00 I was quoted for a Balayage Color and layers and some curls put in for my new do . I left my appointment 1 hour later then quoted with my hair looking great. The next day I was so in shock horror as my hair wouldn't rest or settle, it was dry and so rough I couldn't even put my hands thru it, and It was the most depressing thing to realize that my hair was damaged and the layers weren't done how I'd asked. I couldn't tell on the day because of the curls. I was hoping it was just product in my hair so upon washing and using salon grade conditioner , it actually seemed worse. After 3 days I realized I had to contact Jade as it wasn't getting better but in all honesty my hair has never been so damaged before and I was hesitant to go back to her. I contacted Consumer NZ to find out what I should do, they said speak with her and hopefully she will come to the table as most do. Instead she said she could recommend a product I can buy to correct the damage she'd done. She also said that happens when you color hair. I told her this never came up in the consult so she apologized and later said that she had taken full responsibility when she apologized. She was willing to throw in a detailing brush for free , lmfao!! Really!! I even bought the purple shampoo for my dyed hair which cost $69.00 so I spent over $450 for the worst job I have ever had in my life. I had said I'm going to get a second opinion because she clearly wasn't prepared to own her mistakes so who's to say she'd even tell me the truth. I was trying to find a salon that takes unjabbed people which is hard these days, to assess my hair but had no luck so I reluctantly came back to her and asked what can she do for me. She then said sorry the offer to help has expired and if you'd like to come in for me to assess your hair you can come in early January but I will need to see your Vax pass???? This lady is absolutely unprofessional and a blatant ripoff.. she has no accountability and no conscience. If I were anyone trying to get my hair colored I would absolutely steer clear of this place .. and like I said Jade you will not get away with this . I found someone that will assess my hair and repair it so you best expect that I'm going to get every cent you selfishly took for a service half done, you should be ashamed of yourself.
