        Full credit to the people and organisations that had the foresight and vision to set this amazing place up. I entered from the northern entrance and hiked to the peak, steep hike but great bush and bird life. I can now say I have seen the North Island Robin and Saddlebacks in numbers and amazingly close as they are not afraid of quite walkers. If your fit then this is a must do, highly recommended.

        The Traverse track allows for easy access but noticed that I saw more wildlife on the inner tracks, inside the canopy.
