My experiences as a geotechnical & waste water design consultant experiences with this company are all bad. They go ahead & build a relocatable without even having started the drawing & building consent process for the relocation with their own designers, then months later when their draftsperson still has not fully completed their drawings blame other consultants such as us (whose advice & report was provided many months prior) for their own hold ups & lack of timeliness. This affected our client relationship. In this case Builtsmart had already built the relocatable before being anywhere near applying for let alone gaining Building Consent to relocate it. I wrote to Philip Leather asking for an apology for his staff & draftsperson making us their scape goat for their own delays but he simply will not reply. I then made a complaint to Certified Builders of which Philip is a member but they also do nothing. Certified builders membership is meaningless & does not create accountability so beware anyone thinking that membership means anything. I strongly suggest that prospective clients looking to deal with Builtsmart do not allow this company to take money from you & build a relocatable dwelling before they have a building consent to relocate it. To be fair, there are better companies to deal with who do not operate on such their level. Thumbs down Builtsmart.
