My car door lock cylinder was worn out so I needed some professional intervention. Steve knows a thing or two about locks. He replaced the lock for me on a Sunday morning at short notice. I reckon the negative reviews are mostly people that just don't get Steve's dry sense of humour. Thanks for fixing up my polluting Accord lock :)

It took me almost 4 hours to find a locksmith that would be able to come and unlock my car. I called Hamilton Locksmith and Steve said he'd be there in half an hour, 25 minutes later Steve was here. It was as if it was still early in the evening as he was very lovely and made friendly banter, 2 minutes later the job was done. Definitely recommend Hamilton Locksmith if anything happens! Thank you so much Steve

Steve was great to deal with, and I'd recommend him to anyone needing a locksmith. He got to our lifestyle property within ten minutes of phoning him on a Sunday, and managed to get our locked door open within a few minutes. Unfortunately the keys we thought we'd locked in there weren't in there after all, and so he came back a couple of hours later, again within ten minutes of calling him, to cut a new key for us. He gave us a discount on the second call out because he was already in the area which we really appreciated. Also I really disagree with some of the low star reviews to do with fees. I actually feel really sorry for locksmiths and how they are treated by some people!!!!!! The fee for after hours is completely reasonable, especially when he gets there so fast. At least half this fee will be going to tax, GST and operational costs, it is not a lot of cash in the hand for taking up to an hour out of his time in travel on top of that - especially in weekends or middle of the night!!! One idiot has bagged him for not giving free advice over the phone, when it turned out a simple fix. Seriously!?!?! You're paying for a service, and for someone to use their expertise to solve a problem. If you want free advice ask Google. I personally think its disgusting that people would not only expect free advice from a professional, but then give one star reviews. I am so glad I got Steve yesterday, and so glad I ignored these pathetic reviews. Service: Building lockouts
