    We had a very frustrating experience with CT Legal at the start of the year buying and selling our house. It seems we are not alone in this, for almost exactly the same reasons. The first phone call we had with Carolyn left a great impression as a competent and responsive person. Unfortunately this was the last good experience we had. Emails were almost never responded to, phone messages never got returned. I had to remind them of details numerous times as they forgot. We never knew things were progressing or not. The mortgage broker and real estate agent had the same problems. When they did get back to me I had to clarify and correct details to make sure the right actions were taken. If I was lucky enough to call the office and get Esther it would often mean one or two things would get done. I had a few issues that needed sorting and negotiating with the vendor, which I arranged a month and a half before settlement. Yet on settlement day the conversation suddenly picked up while we were in the middle of packing the moving truck. They were very obviously just working to the immediate deadlines for that day. The final straw was sitting for hours waiting for settlement to be confirmed. We were getting very worried about the possibility of late settlement only to get a call asking why we hadn't picked up the keys already. Settlement had happened quite a while ago and no one had let us know. They didn't charge a lot compared to other conveyancing lawyers. But I'd suggest that going somewhere else and paying more is worth every penny.

    Unfortunately I had much the same experience as Carls review below. I cannot explain enough how poor the communication was. What was meant to be an exciting time selling a business became a nightmare dealing with an incredibly unprofessional team at CT Legal. Most days were spent chasing Carolyn via email or phone with the purchaser getting very annoyed. When following up I was given unprofessional and frustrating responses from the reception and Carolyn never seemed available to take calls or call back when promised. I will definitely ensure all my friends and family know of this poor service as I wouldn't wish the nightmare upon anyone. A month and a half after settlement I finally got the reporting to be sent through even though it was promised weeks ago and Id been following up consistently. Nightmare and glad its over!

    Most painful property settlement I have ever been involved in. The extremely poor communication from all the staff was very frustrating!! No call backs when promised, instead email responses at 4:58pm as they walked out of the office. Carolyn was never available to speak to directly. On day 4 I had to go into the office be able to speak to her, still got the run around. I left feeling as though my custom was a burden. I ended up having to wait 10 days to for Carolyn to write her own version of a spreadsheet with allocation amounts that I supplied at the very beginning, finally got funds disbursed on day 10, I have not received an invoice for fees, they were just taken out of the funds without any indication of what they would be. I also manage a medium sized business, if I operated as they do it wouldnt be long before I had nothing left to manage. Just take a look at their website if you want an idea of their service they are very similar, very little information, incomplete, frustrating to use, over all completely underwhelming!! Steer well clear unless you want to pay an unknown amount of money for 10 days of frustration.
